Beaconsfield School of Dance
A delightful journey into dance, music and theatre.
The School’s website needed to embody the values and personality of the Principle, Miss Fiona.
The site has to serve as a communication and recruitment platform.
Understanding that this was going to be a dynamic environment, I decided to build the site using WordPress™, it also offered the ability to upscale the website to include transactional purchases, and membership options.
The site has been made responsive for most screen sizes, as most mums spend a lot of time on their mobile devices while fetching and carrying their children.

Alice in Wonderland
The best gift you can give is the gift of adventure.
Extract from the backdrop as Alice falls down the rabbit hole.
This was a dance show designed to showcase the talent of the Schools’ students (all ages).
I was asked if I could provide some assistance in bringing the stage to ‘life’, using little or no money. After viewing the venue, listening to the ambitions of the Director, we came to the conclusion to design animated backdrops to be projected behind the dancers.
I worked closely with the Director and Choreographer to build and finesse the backdrops to selected music. Once each scene had been finalised they all needed to be stitched together to form one seamless package.
The project afforded me the freedom – not felt to me since leaving design school. I was allowed to imagine and create the worlds in which Alice, White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat and the Queen of Hearts lived.

The heroes of the show were the very talented dancers and teachers, I was very proud to be able to provide support, seeing the show come to ‘life’ on stage was wondrous.
